Facial balancing refers to the aesthetic approach of using a variety of injectables to create harmony, proportion, and volume restoration in an individual’s facial appearance. It requires a skilled provider to fully assess and analyze one’s facial features to determine areas that lack symmetry or volume. Based on the provider’s assessment and patient’s aesthetic goals, a treatment plan that is tailored towards the individual’s unique facial anatomy is developed.
Common areas that we may treat when considering facial balancing:
- Cheeks
- Chin
- Lips
- Jawline
- Temples
What is the goal?
Overall, the goal of facial balancing is to enhance and restore your facial features while aiming towards natural-looking results.
How many syringes will I need?
The number of syringes used during a facial balancing treatment varies depending on several factors. Areas being treated, extent of correction, type of filler used, and facial anatomy are all important when determining the number of syringes. We do offer a facial balancing package, which allows us to use what you need and costs you a flat rate, eliminating worry about per syringe pricing.
How long will results last?
Generally, regular filler results can last up to one year, however with facial balancing we tend to see greater longevity. This is in part because multiple areas undergo optimal dosing and correction with facial balancing. Duration of results can also depend on the amount and type of filler used, individual metabolism, and lifestyle factors.
How long is the recovery period?
Many patients can return to work or resume normal activities the next day. Mild swelling and possibly bruising at the injection site are temporary and usually subside by the end of the first week. After two weeks, any remaining swelling or bruising should be completely resolved.
Is it safe?
Yes! Although there are potential risks and considerations with any medical aesthetic procedure, facial balancing is generally safe and minimally invasive. During a facial balancing treatment, dermal filler is strategically placed in different layers of the skin and soft tissue. It is crucial to consult with a skilled and experienced provider to ensure both safe and aesthetically pleasing results.
